Frequently Asked Questions

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. It plays a vital role in maintaining the health and integrity of various body parts. It provides structural support for the skin, keeping it firm and elastic.

Collagen also helps to maintain healthy bones and joints by providing the framework for bone and cartilage formation.

Additionally, collagen is important for maintaining the health and function of other organs and tissues, such as the digestive system, cardiovascular system, and eyes

As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, which can lead to various health problems such as wrinkles, joint pain, and weakened bones. Taking a collagen supplement can help to replenish your body's collagen levels and provide a range of potential health benefits such as improved skin elasticity, reduced joint pain, stronger hair and nails, improved gut health and increased muscle mass

When a protein undergoes hydrolysis, it means that the protein is broken-down into smaller, easier to process molecules also known as peptides.

In terms of hydrolysed Marine Collagen, the collagen has undergone hydrolysis which creates ‘collagen peptides’.

These collagen peptides are more easily absorbed into the circulatory system compared with non-hydrolysed collagen.
